Book Review: Healing Creek by Jaclyn M. Hawkes

My thoughts:

This is the second book of Jaclyn's I've read and although it took me a little while to get involved it ended up being a book worth my time. Monet and Nick are more than two attractive people who meet and fall in love and despite Nick's "hot" appearance and Monet's troubled past, their story isn't just an escapist-romance. Healing Creek is a multi-faceted read with depth, refreshing integrity and a colorful splash of unexpectedness.

New Book Review: The Most Important Catch

  

This is Jaclyn M. Hawkes 3rd novel and the 1st one of hers I've read. I was pleasantly suprised!

The main character, Kelly Campbell, is a nurse in her early twenties. Something illegal is going on in the hospital where she works and when she is caught looking at some files she inadvertently stumbled upon, she ends up staging her own death in order to stay alive. Leaving everything behind, she flees Chicago on the back of a borrowed motorcycle, dressed completely in leather, her bright auburn hair tucked securely under a helmet.

The Most Important Catch, was enjoyable, well-written, suspenseful, romantic, and a clean read. My kind of book!
